crafty peeps, awkward poses, and a broken arm.

The HandmadeMN show was a success, wahoooo. Here was my table. A little on the low budget look, but I'm okay with it. And guess who came to help? My sweet lil' darlin', who was giving away pictures of art on notepad paper. Tips were appreciated (a sign said so) and she made her own little killing. I'm totally turning my kids into mini me entrepreneurs, aren't I?

I met a couple of awesome chicks who traded a cowl for a dress. Um, yes, I like to do trades. In fact, I spend most my profit money on other people's crafts. So, if you're ever interested in trading, I am so down. Anyway, here's me and my girly all ready to go to my friend Kristy's mama and daughter crafty play date.

(and btw, is that not the funniest pic? Um, why is there a dog bone between my legs, charlie sniffing my leg, and my dd doing the cat eyes circa Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction? And, hello, could my pose be any more awkward?)

Anyway, here's all the action from our fun day:

and here's Kristy's daughter, who is so, so adorable, but will not give me the time of day (probably because I'm the weird auntie who tries a bit too hard).

Isn't she looking at me like 'what the heck are you doing, lady?'

Anyhoo, my 10 year old boy broke his arm. Elbow, to be exact. Canceled all sports for the summer. It's gonna be hard entertaining this kid for 3 months. Wish me luck.

And hey - thank you to all of you who commented (thx Laura ;)), or didn't (that's okay, too), and put a little positive thought into your mind for my friend. I told you the power of the peeps is beyond what we could imagine, because my friend is getting better already. So, yay. Keep at it. Really, really thanks, from the deepest of my heart. !!!!
